At the beginning of 2021, the Training Department met for its annual meeting to align the 2021 objectives. The event provided an opportunity to sit down and share their various visions of workforce development projects and appropriate work methods.
It was in Val d'Or that they set the table for the busy schedule that awaited them: The session started with an in-depth visit of Centre de Formation Professionnelle de Val-d'Or (CFP) which specializes in the mining field, followed by a very interesting condensed version of the Training of Trainers offered by the CFP, and then workshops on their training projects in sub-groups to discuss sharing projects. The visit to the CFP allowed the trainers to see all the facilities offered by this one, from the classrooms to the concentrator, and to discover the different services to evaluate to what extent CRI could benefit from them in an optimal way. In particular, the virtual reality discovery that the CFP has been investing in for some time. This view on the technological future of training definitely impressed and inspired our trainers.
In conclusion, the department is more confident than ever about the targeted trajectory not only for 2021 but also for the years to come to meet operational needs.
