PUBLIC CONSULTATION MEETINGS: Inukshuk Project and New Tailings Cell To ensure continued mining operations in the next years, there’s a need to add a new tailings cell to accommodate mine tailings from our different sites. Two options are being considered and both options present benefits and drawbacks. That is why it is important to Canadian Royalties to include community opinions, concerns and feedback in the development of these projects. Hence, we invited community members to a public consultation meeting for a presentation of our activities and upcoming projects in Nunavik. Participatory workshops were held so everyone can share questions, comments and stories. The meetings took place in Puvirnituq, Salluit and Kangiqsujuaq this spring. A report to present results of the consultation will be available soon.
